Our Story

Care Built on Compassion, Trust, and Respect

For many years, Central Home Care has been helping Australians live independently at home — with dignity, choice, and the support they deserve.

Our History

How We Started

Central Home Care was founded with a simple but powerful belief: that every Australian deserves to age in the comfort and familiarity of their own home, surrounded by the people and things they love.

What began as a small team of dedicated carers in Melbourne has grown into one of Victoria's most trusted home care providers — supporting hundreds of clients across the metropolitan area with government-funded and private care services.

We remain proudly independent, which means our decisions are always guided by what's best for our clients — not shareholders or corporate mandates. That independence allows us to be flexible, responsive, and genuinely person-centred in everything we do.

Our Principles

What We Stand For

Our values aren't just words on a wall — they guide every interaction, every care plan, and every decision we make.

Compassion

We treat every client as we would our own family — with warmth, patience, and genuine care for their wellbeing.

Dignity

We honour each person's right to make their own choices and live life on their own terms, regardless of age or ability.

Integrity

We are honest, transparent, and accountable — in our pricing, our communication, and our conduct.

Excellence

We hold ourselves to the highest standards of care, continuously improving through training, feedback, and innovation.

Inclusion

We celebrate diversity and provide culturally sensitive care that respects every background, language, and belief.

Community

We are part of the Melbourne community — connected, engaged, and committed to the wellbeing of all Australians.
